The R4i has been built on all the successful features of the R4 DS was designed for the DS and DS lite consoles, the R4 DS is still used worldwide but more and more people are switching over to the R4i as they upgrade their consoles. A great feature of the R4i is that it is completely backwards compatible with any previous DS consoles, so the R4i DS now supports the DS, DS lite, Dsi an Dsi XL consoles. Setting up the R4i DS couldn't be easier, to begin with you will need a micro SD or SDHC memory card, not to worry though if you purchase one of our bundles you will see that we already include these memory cards so you are ready to go. Once you have purchased and received your r4i and memory card, you insert the micro SD memory into your PC's USB slot using the included Micro SD memory card reader. Once your PC detects that you have inserted a memory card you will receive a prompt and then it is simply a case of clicking and dragging the files you want to play on your DS console. These can include games , homebrew games, music, photos, videos and even eBooks. In total setting up the R4i takes less than 5 minutes and is simple enough for even someone with a very basic knowledge of computers. One of the main questions we receive from customers is 'what size memory card do I need for my R4i?' From our experience 4GB will be enough for the average user, if you need more the 8GB is always an option but that is up to you yourself. Before purchasing just think what you will be using your R4i DS for and how many files you plan on storing on it.
